I met a couple a few weeks ago that were headed south for the winter, and were excited about a new purchase they had just made for their motorhome. They had recently downsized from a 40-foot Class A motorhome to a 24 foot Class C. Even though they were enjoying the fact that their smaller rig was easier to maneuver and park, they missed all the storage space they had in their 40-footer. After researching several alternatives for additional external storage, they settled on a hitch-mounted cargo carrier.
The carrier was similar to the storage pods some RV’s mount on their rooftops, but this mounted into their receiver hitch. It gave them tons of extra storage space, and best of all they didn’t have to climb up onto their roof to use it. They were even able to order the carrier with colored reflectors to match the colors of their motorhome. Once it was installed it looked like it had come with the motorhome.
Because they were so impressed with their carrier, I spoke with the company they purchased it from to get some additional information. I thought some of you may be in similar situations of needing additional, easy-to-use storage space for your RV.

There are multiple frame options available to accommodate rear mounted ladders and spare tires, as well as rear storage compartments. Other options include adding a bike rack or a dual hitch so that you can still tow a car.
